COMREC-behaviour-support-plan-2 We have a trained behaviour specialist on staff who can provide a full functional assessment and/or assist with developing individualised person centered programs to help decrease behaviours of concern.
COMREC-behaviour-support-plan-1Shaya Smith has been working with our participants for well over 15 years and has had experience with all manner of behaviours of concern. Shaya has a Diploma of Disability and has spent time in America studying at the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis, and has a certificate in assessment and analysis of severe and challenging behaviour. This means she is able to provide full functional assessments for participants as well as develop person centred behaviour support plans and train staff and families in the use of positive behaviour supports.

Shaya’s primary role is to advise and consult with COMREC staff to assist them to manage behaviours of concern that participants may exhibit whilst on our group programs. However, she is also available for private consultation and assistance for anyone who would like advice on managing behaviours of concern.
